Photoshoot in the Barn
The photos are in! To put our sample bouquets to good use from the Bridal Show, we decided to do our first wedding style shoot. Talented photographer, Ashley Heim, generously agreed to meet me at a friend’s beautiful barn to take the photos. We were lucky enough to get Summer (our Marketing consultant) and her sister Callie, to model as brides, and we found two adorable flower girls to model for us (Marcella and Haven), as well as my lovely daughter to stand in as a young bridesmaid. We even had dogs to model flower collars – a newer trend of animals in weddings decorated in flowers. It turned out to be an extremely windy day, but all in all it was such a beautiful spot for photos from the barn and its surrounding fields.
With the evening sunlight streaming through the windows, my daughter captured this special moment in time with her Iphone while we were all hurrying around setting up.
This sweet flower girl had paused to admire the bouquets and their silk ribbons while waiting for the pictures to begin. Sometimes it takes a child to stop and soak in the beauty that we are all missing in the daily hustle and bustle.

I so enjoyed partnering up with Ashley Heim to capture some amazing beauty that night! At Honeysuckle Hollow, we are already dreaming up our next style shoot in the snow, and definitely another one in the spring under a flowering tree, maybe with one of our horses and a bride and groom decked out in flowers. It is such fun to run wild with flowers and great photographers…..beauty abounds!
